David Jones has been reducing floor space in some stores as consumer shopping habits shift. The department store chain is focusing on delivering online and in-store experiences, with major renovations underway in several NSW and Victorian locations. RetailOasis co-director Trent Rigby noted, “That middle market department store is really getting pushed out of the market” referring to Myer’s similar struggles.
