At the end of last November, Myer unveiled it’s first new store under their New Myer strategy*.

As part of Scentre’s redevelopment of Warringah Mall (in Sydney’s Northern Beaches), Myer chose to use the site as a ‘major milestone in the New Myer strategy’.

A key element of the strategy has been to localise. You can see that in the pictures below – the store has incorporated brands like Topshop, Seed, John Lewis in a brand new fit out.

To quote the Australian ‘The fit out and offer are directly targeted at the local catchment…a store elsewhere might have quite different modules and present differently’. This a new model for Australian department stores, based on customer preference.  We can’t wait to see what comes next.
