We’re now in Paris for the week, checking out the ‘latest and greatest’.
After visiting Uniqlo in Melbourne the other week, we were keen to track down their third store in Le Marais. The store spans across 820 square meters and 3 floors. That said, this store could not be more different from their store in Australia.
In order to fit into this edgy-fashionable district they have worked the store environment (opening in a historic former factory – Usine de la Société des Cendres):
Plus, while keeping their core range they have some additions to suit the clientele here. Namely a denim collaboration with sisterbrand ‘J-Brand’ and with fashion icon, Inès de la Fressange:
To top it off, they have brought in non-Uniqlo product (books and Japanese trinkets) as well as a Jean-Michel Basquiat photograph which can be all yours for a little under 2000 euros:
All in all, pretty amazing. Nice to see how this big retailer is localising to the neighbourhood through environment and extra product.
